Abstract:
Recently, Quantum Theory framework was successively applied in information processing such as the Language Model. Nevertheless, current approaches in Quantum Language Model have not yet taken into account the Quantum Entanglement (QE), which is a key quantum concept and has a significant cognitive implication. In QT, an entangled state can provide a more complete description for the nature of realities, and determine intrinsic correlations of considered objects globally, rather than those co-occurrences on the surface. It is, however, a real challenge to decide and measure QE using the classical statistics of texts in a post-measurement configuration.
In recent research, we theoretically prove the connection between QE and statistically Unconditional Pure Dependence (UPD). Since UPD has an implementable deciding algorithm, we can in turn characterize QE by extracting the UPD patterns from texts. This leads to a measurable QE, based on which we further advance the existing QLM framework. Some writings of mine will be used to highlight the joyful experience in writing. I will present what lessons learned in my career as a Cryptographer which have benefitted me in the writing.
报告人:侯越先,教授,博士生导师,天津大学计算机学院网络智能技术研究所主任。
2001年4月于天津大学获博士学位,天津市131人才计划第一层次人选,中国中文信息学会理事,中国计算机学会高级会员,第8届亚洲信息检索学会会议一般主席。侯越先教授的主要研究方向为机器学习、信息检索和自然语言处理;近年来在TOIS、TNN、TKDE、TIFS、Computational Intelligence, TALIP、IJCAI、SIGIR、ACL、CIKM、ECIR、ICTIR和AAAI Symposium等主要国际学术期刊和会议发表论文40余篇,并获得ICTIR2011最佳论文奖(Best Paper Award)及ECIR2011最佳短论文奖;作为项目负责人承担国家自然科学基金项目3项、欧盟FP7项目1项。侯越先教授近年来在量子信息理论及其在自然语言处理及信息检索中的应用研究中提出了一系列新颖的理论和方法,为量子理论在智能信息处理领域的应用开创了新的研究思路。
