特邀讲者:邓慧杰教授(Prof. Robert H. Deng

Robert H. Deng received his Bachelor from National University of Defense Technology, China, his MSc and PhD from the Illinois Institute of Technology, USA. He has been with the Singapore Management University since 2004, and is currently Professor, Associate Dean for Faculty & Research, School of Information Systems. Prior to this, he was Principal Scientist and Manager of Infocomm Security Department, Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore. He has 26 patents and more than 200 technical publications in international conferences and journals in the areas of computer networks, network security and information security. He has served as general chair, program committee chair and program committee member of numerous international conferences. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Associate Editor of Security and Communication Networks Journal (John Wiley), and member of Editorial Board of Journal of Computer Science and Technology (the Chinese Academy of Sciences). 演讲题目:RFID security and privacy protection - recent developments and challenges

报告提要:RFID is envisioned as the core technology in the Internet-of-Things. However, without introducing proper security mechanisms, widespread deployment of RFID could raise privacy concerns to both companies and individuals. Security problems in RFID systems can be classified into two types. The first is concerned with attacks which aim to wipe out the functioning of the system. The second type, which we will address in the talk, is related to privacy. In particular, unauthorized tracking of RFID system users and RFID tag bearers has been recognized as one of the most imperative privacy concerns in the deployments of RFID systems. We will review the recent progress in the research of RFID privacy protection techniques, both at the physical level and at the system level. We will also outline the research challenges and possible future research directions.

任伟,男,湖北武汉人,博士,博士后,副教授,硕士生导师,信息安全系副系主任。中国计算机学会计算机安全专委会委员,CCF高级会员,CCF YOCSEF(武汉)委员,ACM会员,IEEE会员。曾经长期在国(海)外如美国伊利偌理工大学、内华达大学、香港科技大学从事研究工作。近年来在《SCIENCE CHINA F (中国科学F英文版)》等国内外学术期刊和重要学术会议发表EI/SCI/SCIE检索英语学术论文30余篇。目前担任4个国际学术期刊的编委,以及包括IEEE ICC10、ACM SAC10等多个国际学术会议程序委员会委员。主要研究方向:密码算法协议与理论,无线网络安全。
